YuE2: Open-Source Suno Rival With Agentic Editing

YuE2 is an open music generation model: lyrics and a style line in, a full song with vocals and instruments out at 48 kHz stereo. In this video I read the repo, the license and the benchmark table, then run it on a rented RunPod A40 because my laptop (RTX 4060, 8 GB, Windows) cannot. What I ran (all real, all on the pod): - Quick start from the README: pip install 1m30s; first song incl. weight download 1m01s (59.9 s of audio) - My own lyrics, indie rock: 60 s to generate, 76 s of audio - Score edit: same melody, chords changed to seventh chords, compare helper says match: true; 31 s and 30 s runs - Included melody as a score in melody mode: 37 s run, 37.5 s of audio What I did NOT test: a real cover with SheetSage2 (separate environment), the agent skill, and any head-to-head against other tools. Benchmark numbers are the authors' own table. Needs: Linux, Python 3.12, NVIDIA GPU with BF16 and 24 GB VRAM. License: code Apache-2.0; weights CC BY-NC 4.0 with creator permission (creators/musicians may monetize outputs; companies contact the authors).
