SQL Server Performance Office Hours Episode 88
In this video, I dive into some interesting questions from the community, ranging from the whereabouts of my friend Paul White to performance issues with Nutanix and SQL Server. I share my insights on Nutanix, suggesting that if you're experiencing low disk response times, it might be time to consider moving away from the platform, especially if you've exhausted all optimization efforts. I also discuss when it's worth chasing fragmentation numbers and how to handle workloads that fall apart under concurrency, emphasizing resource competition as a key factor. The video concludes with advice on identifying memory pressure in SQL Server, focusing on wait stats and buffer pool activity. As always, I encourage viewers to like, subscribe, and share the content to help grow the community.
