Workshop with Neo4j: Building GraphRAG Python MCP Tools

Explore how GraphRAG combines knowledge graphs and generative AI to improve retrieval and context. In this hands-on session, you'll use the MCP Python SDK to create custom server features that expose GraphRAG capabilities to MCP-compatible clients. You'll learn how to turn your Python code and graph-based retrieval workflows into reusable tools that AI applications and agents can discover and use. Along the way, you'll work through practical challenges and build an MCP server from the ground up, using GitHub Copilot to help accelerate development. This session is designed for developers who are familiar with the basics of Generative AI, LLMs, and Python. Some command-line experience is also helpful. You'll need Python, the uv package manager, and access to GitHub Copilot (Free or Pro).
