Organizing hackathons involves channeling the passion and ideas of a lot of different stakeholders. how we find them and help them grow into leaders. I want to share how Cal Hacks recruits organizers not just for technical skill, but for reliability, passion, care for others, and the willingness to show up for something bigger than themselves. I’ll also talk about how we intentionally build diverse teams across backgrounds, identities, and perspectives, and why that diversity makes our organization stronger, more creative, and more resilient.
