In the Field with Data Scientist Denice W. Ross | UC Berkeley Exec Fellowship in Applied Tech Policy
Denice W. Ross, former U.S. Chief Data Scientist, created a field guide to help us understand—and make use of—the federal data ecosystem. In the free resource, animals symbolize the “biodiversity” of these data sets and the value they bring to American society. Ross also discusses her experience developing this project during the UC Berkeley Executive Fellowship in Applied Technology Policy program. This video is part of Policy in Practice, a series documenting the research of the 2025 Executive Fellows.
