ClickStack Demo Day (2026-08-28) - Browsing metrics in the chart editor

Picking a metric meant typing into a flat select that lists up to 3,000 names per kind, so you had to already know the name. Unit, description and tags only turned up after you'd committed to a metric, in the collapsed panel below the series row. There was no way to answer "what does this deployment actually emit?" A Browse metrics control beside the metric select now opens an explorer: the catalog on the left, the selected metric's details on the right. Names are split on dots and underscores into a tree, with single-child segments collapsed together, and it reads as a table with Metric, Type and Unit columns that stay aligned however deep a row is indented. Search works across the catalog, and a flat list view is there if you'd rather not navigate the tree. The details pane shows the description and the metric's tags, which is what you need to pick a group-by before you commit to the metric rather than after. Use metric applies your selection to the series you were editing, and the existing per-metric filter and aggregation controls work as before. It's tucked away for now while it settles.
