⚙️ Check out the brand new Intro to dbt course at Maven Analytics 👉 https://bit.ly/4iul8wK You may know dbt as a data transformation tool, but have you actually seen the code? It’s the same SQL you already know. dbt just organizes it, runs it in the right order, and makes it easy to test and document. In this video, Maven Analytics instructor Alice Zhao builds a dbt project from scratch so you can see exactly what it looks like in practice. What you’ll learn: 👉 Why a folder of disorganized SQL scripts is so hard to manage, and how dbt fixes it 👉 What’s inside a simple dbt project: the YAML settings file, the seeds folder, and the models folder 👉 How to load a CSV file into Snowflake with dbt seed 👉 How to build a model from scratch and use ref so dbt knows which table to build first 👉 How dbt run executes your models in order and creates a clean, transformed table in Snowflake Interested in dbt?
