In the following 90 second video, Alisha Kapur, our Lead Consultant for Travel, provides destination-level insights about where people are traveling inside the U.S. over the past few months, using SimilarWeb's Travel Intelligence. ✦ California (-62%) maintains the most bookings among U.S. states but had the second-highest year-on-year (YoY) decrease after New York (-73%). Meanwhile, South Carolina (+25%) was the only state to increase bookings in May, YoY. ✦ Travel destination data shows that vacation rentals have increased their share of market YoY in all of the states with the most bookings in May 2020 expect for Utah (-4%).
