Functional materials are critical for the future of advanced energy storage, power electronics, and quantum computing, but developing them requires bridging the gap between atomic-scale measurements and reliable devices. By implementing agentic workflows on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, NLR reduced microscope calibration time from 90+ minutes to 13 minutes, cut manual focusing steps by 96%, and enabled 12+ hours of automated testing after hours.
