ComfyUI for Animation: Keyframes to Full Character Animation
Draw the key poses, let ComfyUI handle the in-betweens. This workflow takes a sequence of keyframes and generates the frames between them, producing a complete character animation from start to finish. Each consecutive keyframe pair runs through Wan 2.2's first-last frame model, and the results are thinned, assembled in order, and rendered out as a single video. Step 1: Load Your Keyframes Load each keyframe into the numbered image inputs. The workflow defaults to five keyframes, but you can bypass node groups for shorter sequences or duplicate them for longer ones. Step 2: Set Resolution and Frame Length Set your width and height, then adjust the frame length for each keyframe pair. The recommended minimum is 17 frames per pair. Go lower and the motion gets too short for the model to generate legible movement. Step 3: Control Timing with Select Every Nth Frame A Select Every Nth Frame node sits between each generation and the final assembly. If the motion between two keyframes should play faster than 17 frames, increase this value to thin out more frames from that segment. Frame length and this node together are how you control timing across the animation. Step 4: Generate and Assemble Each pair is generated with Wan 2.2 First-Last Frame. The workflow then thins every segment, assembles them in sequence, and renders one continuous video. Run the workflow: https://links.comfy.org/4dpvxHb
