I Tried 5 AI Avatar Generators So You Don’t Have To (2026)

I tested five AI avatar generators using the same person, voice, script, reference image, and as close to the same performance as each platform allows. This comparison includes: • HeyGen Avatar V • Synthesia Express-2 • Creatify Aurora 2 • VEED AI Avatar • Seedance 2.5 Each result is compared across identity preservation, lip sync, facial and body performance, visual stability, and overall naturalness—including whether it falls into the uncanny valley. This video is published on HeyGen’s official channel, so don’t take my word for the results. You’ll see the inputs, settings, uninterrupted generations, and all five outputs side by side before the final rankings are revealed. TEST SCRIPT USED FOR EVERY AI AVATAR Part 1 — Clean Talking-Head Test: “Creating this video normally means writing a script, setting up a camera, and recording multiple takes. With an AI avatar, I can update the message without filming the entire thing again.” Part 2 — Expressive Stress Test: “Wait—this entire video was generated from one reference? I honestly didn’t expect it to look this convincing. Look at the timing, the expression, and the hands. That’s kind of ridiculous.” TOOLS TESTED Try HeyGen: heygen.com/yt Synthesia: synthesia.io Creatify: creatify.ai VEED: veed.io Seedance 2.5: seed.bytedance.com/en/seedance2_5 🔔 Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/@heygen_official?sub_confirmation=1 ⁣ Discord: https://discord.com/invite/czCNgN4yZe X: https://x.com/HeyGen Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/HeyGen.FB/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/heygen/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/heygen_official/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@heygen.com
