Introducing Intent: A workspace for agent orchestration

Intent is our vision for what comes after the IDE. It’s the developer workspace for agent orchestration. AI has changed how software is built. it’s enabled us to move faster, but also exposed a lot of problems with our existing tools & workflows. We’re more scattered now than ever. 1. **Scaling beyond one agent is hard.** There's no simple way to run multiple agents with shared context, without them conflicting. 2. **Context is scattered everywhere.** Developers stitch together agents’ context across a dozen sources – terminals, diffs, browser previews. There's no single place for them to work. 3. **Keeping agents aligned is hard.** Without shared context, agents drift. Each one makes its own assumptions and decisions, and a prompt to one agent becomes stale the moment code is changed by another agent. The bottleneck isn’t writing code anymore.
