Sentra is now the company brain for a $12B public company — around 20,000 employees, running for three months. Nothing like it exists in public right now. Ashwin Gopinath is the founder and CEO of Sentra, which builds "organizational memory" — a brain for companies that lets a team act as a single unit. He came to it from applied physics at Caltech, biology at Google X, and agentic systems at MIT. But the thing that stayed with me is his actual fear about AI: "I'm way more afraid of humans becoming AI than AI becoming human." He watched it at MIT — application essays uniformly improved the moment ChatGPT shipped, the whole pool overnight. His worry isn't a Terminator scenario.
