Character Casting also landed for audiobooks: upload a manuscript and it works out who the characters are, proposes a voice for each one, and lets you preview them on real dialogue before you commit. In ElevenAgents, Spotlight is a new observation layer that reads every voice and chat conversation as it happens, groups them into topics, scores each one against criteria you write in plain English, and tells you what to fix next. SMS, Telegram, Intercom and Freshdesk also join phone, web, Zendesk, Slack and WhatsApp, with behaviour now tunable per channel. ElevenMusic picked up vocals, so you can generate original music with a consistent voice on it, either your own or one from the Vocal Library. References let you upload a track between 10 seconds and 5 minutes and generate something matching its style. Summer of Sound runs until 31 August, with free users bumped to 400 generations a month and a $50,000 prize pool across the ten most streamed tracks. For developers, Dubbing v2 is now in ElevenAPI. It conditions on the original performance rather than a transcript, so tone and emotion carry into the new language instead of being flattened out. Scribe v2 Realtime adds entity detection, secondary languages in the same stream, background audio filtering, and a zero-retention logging switch.
