Create User Acquisition Ads with AI on Layer - The "Made Out of Cake" Trend
Visit https://bit.ly/4qPjuqL f you're ready to start building automated AI workflows today! Welcome to the latest edition of Layer's Workflows tutorial! In this video, Alex Engel, VP of Product at Layer, focuses on generating user acquisition videos by creating a portrait Ad to showcase the cool things Layer's workflows can do. What we cover in this tutorial: -Following Current Trends: We're tapping into the popular trend of things being "made out of cake" (This video was made in January 2026). -Setting up the Workflow: We start with a 2D generator node using Layer's custom low-poly 3D soft edge model to generate four portrait assets (1080 x 1920) based on prompts like a burger box, a peach, a coconut, and a car. -Branding with a Logo: We use a transparent PNG of the Layer logo as a reference image. -The Prompt Edit Node: We use a generic prompt in a prompt edit node to remove any existing logos and replace them with the Layer logo or add the logo to the primary subject if none exists, making sure the logo is in the style of the base image. -Adding a Call to Action (CTA): We use a composition node to add the Layer logo and an 800 x 200 CTA button that says "Sign up today". -Flattening Layers: A flatten layers utility node is used to combine the assets from the composition node into a single-layered image, which is required by most AI video generators. -Generating the Video: We use a specific prompt in the video generator to ensure the logo and CTA are preserved and unchanged, while having a knife cut the main subject like it's made of layered chocolate cake. -Generating 12 Videos: We use three different prompts against the four input images to generate a total of 12 videos such as the peach being sliced or the burger box exploding with confetti. Important Notes: -The video generator is set to create a 4-second video with a 1080 x 1920 aspect ratio using VO3.1. -While we try to preserve the static content using prompts, AI generation can be imperfect, and elements like the logo or CTA may sometimes disappear. -Alternative methods, such as using Kling01 video edit, may be necessary to add logos after video generation. Go forth, generate your own peaches, coconuts, burger boxes, and cars, or whatever else you might want to slice into cake, and multiply your ad generations with Workflows!1 Sign up for Layer today and find out how you can start using workflows, our AI tools, and templates to generate video game or user acquisition assets!
