Unlock Your Potential: ACM Digital Library Basic vs. Premium
ACM is fully Open Access as of January 1, 2026. All ACM-published content in the ACM Digital Library is OA. There are two different access points to the DL: 1. The first is a basic platform with a basic search and downloadable PDFs. This is available to anyone who wants to access the contents of the DL without an ACM Open subscription. 2. The second is ACM DL Premium. DL Premium has all the features of the ACM DL that subscribers enjoyed (bibliometrics, author and institutional profiles, multiple eReader formats, usage stats, etc.) as well as more content such as co-publications and the Guide to Computing Literature. All ACM Open participants will have access to this version of the DL. The difference between the two offerings is that ACM Open includes unlimited publishing, whereas a subscription to DL Premium does not and authors will still have to pay APCs.
