AgriHeroes: Rose Goslinga and Thomas Njeru, Building a Safety Net for Kenya’s Farmers
Growing up on a small farm in Kenya, Thomas Njeru saw how a single drought could set a family back for years. Together with Rose Goslinga, he co-founded Pula to help smallholder farmers manage climate risks through agricultural insurance. The company uses satellite imagery, weather data, and farmer registries to understand where farmers are and what support they need. This helps farmers recover after a bad season, invest with greater confidence, and build stronger livelihoods.
