New feature highlight: Zero-Downtime Add Node
In this video, Solution Engineer Paul Rothrock demonstrates how pgEdge's Zero Downtime Add Node feature enables seamless cluster scaling and major version upgrades—without any service interruption. All pgEdge components (including Spock, which is the PostgreSQL extension that supports Zero Downtime Add Node) are 100% open source and compatible with 100% community PostgreSQL (see https://pgscorecard for more information on compatibility). Scripts to automate this process are available here: https://github.com/pgEdge/spock/tree/main/samples/Z0DAN This functionality is possible whether you're running with a single-primary instance or a globally-distributed set of clusters. It's also possible whether you're self-hosting or using the fully managed pgEdge cloud service (that comes with 24x7x365 support from PostgreSQL experts).
