If you love robots and you've tried robotics simulators, then you know how painful using ROS/ROS2 can be! The setup with simulators usually takes a while and then there's all kinds of issues getting your models to do what you think they should be doing. But Nvidia is making it easier and easier! In this video I'll show you have to easily add ROS2-enabled sensors to your models in IsaacSim and view the data with RViz in less than 30 minutes. Nvidia is making robotics simulation easier with every release! New features and more stable versions are enabling robotics and AI researchers to spend more time on the things they care about and less time painstakingly setting up environments and simulations. You no longer have to create your own Omnigraphs from scratch for ROS2! Huge congratulations to the IsaacSim team for this latest version. IsaacSim 4.5 was released a few months ago and a lot of the old infrastructure (e.g. Omniverse) is going away as of October so it makes sense to try out this latest version. 📖 Chapter Guide 00:00 Where to Download IsaacSim 4.5 00:35 Getting a Prebuilt Drone Model File 01:39 Starting IsaacSim and Setting Up The Scene 03:22 Adding LiDAR and Camera Sensors 04:45 Enabling ROS2 for Sensor Data 08:55 How to Verify with RVIZ
