LibreOffice Conference 2026: Distributing LibreOffice as an AppImage

We will look at the whole context of distributing LibreOffice as an AppImage: the official position about AppImage from the Engineering Steering Committee, the community effort, the actual process of building a tailored AppImage for the necessities of users and testers, the automatic build process for the releases, feedback from the userbase (and how to channel it), and finally some opportunities and threats for future development. The intent of the talk is to get clarity on the status quo and propose solutions to improve the current and future situations. Presenter: Emiliano Vavassori For more information, please see: https://events.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice-conference-2026/talk/B3HZCJ/ LibreOffice is a free, private and open source office suite.
