The AI Boom (and Bust?) Cycle: Lessons from the Gold Rush. Freestyle Fridays (June 19, 2026)

Finished a jog on the high plains near South Pass, Wyoming, where there's a lot of history of mass migrations, and booms and busts. Standing near the old Oregon and Mormon trails, I look at the remnants of the 1800s gold rush to draw parallels to the current AI boom.
