Introduction - Build your own cloud from bare metal servers

Ever wondered how tech giants like AWS or Azure work behind the scenes? ☁️ Dive deep into the world of cloud computing in our new series, "The Heavy Metal Cloud"! In this video, we kick off the project by building a home lab using bare metal servers to demystify complex distributed computing problems. Join us as we explore the "why" behind this unique bare metal home lab, outline the core architecture, and define the target audience for this series (from developers to CTOs). We’ll cover key concepts like Docker images, containers, and the CAP theorem to show you how a DIY cloud infrastructure can help you learn a ton about the DevOps and infrastructure world. This is your guide to understanding the hard problems that public clouds solve for you. Don't miss the next video where we take a closer look at the hardware! 00:00 - Introduction 00:32 - Why build your own cloud? 02:48 - The Heavy Metal Cloud Architecture 03:10 - Who is the Audience for This Series? 03:50 - What's Next?
