A hyperscaler is a very large provider or platform that operates massive, globally distributed computing, storage, and networking infrastructure for a broad range of workloads, including , , and . Common examples include , , and . These providers use technologies such as and to support high , enabling customers to train and deploy applications globally; these technologies are widely used across cloud computing and do not uniquely distinguish hyperscalers. Some hyperscalers also develop custom , such as developed by , or collaborate with hardware suppliers—for example, works with on infrastructure using . Such hardware strategies can accelerate and within the , but they are neither defining nor universal characteristics of hyperscalers.
