It generates clips up to 20 seconds long, up to Full HD at 24 frames per second, and every output comes with native audio, so dialogue, sound effects and ambience are generated alongside the frames rather than added afterwards. The training approach behind it is published as a paper on arXiv with the code on GitHub. Instead of bolting on a second model to give the generator semantic understanding, Black Forest Labs apply different amounts of noise across the same input, forcing the model to infer the missing parts from what it can still see. In their own comparisons the biggest gains show up in faces, hands, motion quality and text rendering, which is the exact list of things creators complain about in AI video. In this video we cover what shipped and what it means in practice: text to video, image to video with end frames for controlled transitions, multiple scenes and camera angles inside a single generation, typography rendered as part of the scene, multilingual dialogue with lip sync across English, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Turkish, Hindi and more, and a style range that goes well beyond the usual cinematic look. We also break down video continuation, where you feed in an existing clip along with its audio and the model carries the motion, camera behaviour and dialogue across the join, and draft mode, which gives you fast cheap previews before committing to a full quality render. We finish on the honest limitations. FLUX 3 is labelled a preview model, video editing and reference support are not in there yet, all the benchmark numbers so far are Black Forest Labs' own, and FLUX 3 Image has been announced but has not shipped.
