Inside an Open Source AI Week hackathon (Cline × Parallel × Composio)
Everyone's talking about closed personal agents. For Open Source AI Week, we asked builders in SF to make theirs in the open, in three and a half hours. On October 19 we hosted the Cline, Parallel & Composio hackathon at Frontier Tower in San Francisco. The brief: build a personal agent you'd want running for you every day, then open source it. Cline builds it, Composio connects it to your apps, and Parallel gives it the live web. 🏆 Winners 1st: Genie (NVIDIA DGX Spark) 2nd: The Daily Edit ($1,000 in Cline credits) 3rd: Porchlight Judges: Max Paulus (Cline), Rayane Boussanni (Composio), Karan Aggarwal (Parallel) Build with: Cline, the open-source coding agent: https://cline.bot Composio, connect your agent to 1,500+ apps like Gmail, Slack and GitHub: https://docs.composio.dev Parallel, web search and research APIs built for agents: https://docs.parallel.ai Chapters 0:00 Intro 0:22 Kickoff: build an agent you'd use every day 0:53 How many hackathons have you done? 1:14 Building 1:32 What are you building? 2:26 Finalists 2:48 Winners: Genie Music: "TBD" by Brent de la Cruz https://youtu.be/1is58DG8P5w?si=EOkwReQdw640N2km #hackathon #AIagents #opensource
