As families face the rising cost of groceries, the organization helps provide access to a well-stocked food pantry, giving community members a way to offset some of their weekly food expenses. Saline Area Social Service is also expanding its focus on education. After starting a small tutoring program, the organization extended its efforts with a summer learning camp for about 20 children. The goal is to build on essential physical support services by creating educational opportunities that can help children and parents improve their economic opportunities over time. The organization’s work has also evolved to serve seniors, including addressing the isolation that can affect their health and well-being. Oracle supports Saline Area Social Service’s senior transportation program, which helps bring seniors to the organization and expands transportation to the local farmers market on Saturdays. Through this community support, Oracle helps Saline Area Social Service continue programs designed to meet essential needs and create opportunities for people across generations.
