Rediscovering Server Sent Events Miguel Grinberg Server Sent Events (SSE) is a technology that allows web servers to asynchronously push information to clients. Even though it has been around for many years and is supported by all the major web browsers, it has always been in the shadow of WebSocket, often considered to be a superior alternative. But now SSE is receiving renewed interest, after Generative AI companies started using it in APIs that stream chatbot text. In this presentation I'll go over what SSE is, how it compares to WebSocket, and what are some great uses for it in areas outside of Generative AI. Then to conclude, I will show you how to implement a little SSE application in Python! Talk room 1 (400 people) Sun 11:05 am - 11:35 am
